UFC 264 Picks

I’m not excited. Is the casual fan excited? I dont know, who really cares. Its more MMA. I think its safe to say that we’re coming out of the Pandemic now, most people are back to work, things are weird, and people are back to watching live fights.

Dustin PoiriervsConor McGregor

OK. Do we need this? ehh… whatever, its a fight… I’m not excited, but you know what…maybe if you never ever watch MMA, maybe this will excite you. Anyway, I think McGregor is the more technical striker, and I’m not very high on Poirier, but, I must admit, Poirier has a very good record, and one thing…one thing about The diamond. He is an absolute DOG. His skills are lackluster, a lot of guys will out technique him, but he has heart for days. Thats been the talking point leading up to this fight, and… its the truth. Fury FC 44 results

Fury FC 44 results

MMA is back to full capacity in Texas, Fury FC 44 took place at the Bayou City Event center in Houston, TX and this was the first event for Fury on UFC FightPass. I’m so glad that its on FightPass because paying for some of the Fury events can be rough… I mean the fights are good, but some of the production can be absolutely horrible. With the FightPass deal, the production is significantly beefed up

This show had Prelims and Postlims, in between those, the main event showcased CJ Vergara vs Jacob Silva for the Fury FC Flyweight title. These two top level flyweight had a war, and CJ Vergara captured the Fury FC Flyweight title, by TKO in the 3rd round, in one of the best fights I’ve seen across any promotion, this year, so far. Contender Series 2020 Weeks 3 and 4

Contender Series 2020 Weeks 3 and 4

I posted on my Twitter that the Contender Series bridges the gap between UFC fans and MMA fans, and I stand by that statement. It allows the specific, brand driven UFC fans to open up to other organizations.

Great Professional performances on week 3 and 4. Guys that got contracts were: Louis Cosce, Cheyanne Buys, Orion Cosce, Josh Parisian, Jamie Pickett, Rafael Alves, Jeffrey Molina and Collin Huckbody

Here are grades of the talent on the show. These grades are only based on their Contender Series performance, and not their performance before, in other organizations. read more
