Max Holloway vs Frankie Edgar

I got this one right. I think the fight went how I thought it would. Max is just a weight class bigger than Edgar, and his power just means more.

Cris Cyborg vs Felicia Spencer

Cyborg did not get the finish in round 2, Cyborg did not even break Felicia Spencer. The girl was still coming forward and getting after it. I was right that she wouldnt be able to take Cyborg down like she did to Anderson, but I didnt know that she could eat so many shots. I think Max Holloway will take this one. I just don’t think that Edgar has got the juice that he once had. Volkanovski beats them both though. Get Volkanovski in the title picture, and then we’ll see Max lose and move up a weight class.

I hope Spencer got paid for this one, because she’s not going to be able to take down Cyborg like she took down Megan Anderson. I think that Cyborg gets the finish in the 2nd round.

Niko Price

Niko Price is a fascinating character. If you’re not a real MMA fighter, I don’t think you beat him. He tries to exploit his opponents’ weaknesses. Geoff Neal has great striking, if you play that stand up game with him, he’s gonna make you pay, I see Price taking this to the ground and checking out Neal’s ground game. I think it will be a very competitive fight, but I think Price will pick up the win by sub. read more

Thiago Santos

This is the biggest test for Jon Jones ever. I think Thiago Santos is a very worthy opponent. I do not think he’s only a “hard hitter”. He is crafty on the ground, very technical, and very durable. I think he had a fluke loss against David Branch. Jon Jones is the best Mixed Martial Artist ever, and I think that he’ll get the victory here. I think that he has to withstand some storms though. This fight is not going to be like the Anthony Smith fight.

Holly Holm

This is a tough fight to call. Holly Holm is a very worthy opponent, and I think she’s going to get it done here. I think she is going to go for technical-point fighting to get the win. read more

Henry Cejudo vs. Marlon Moraes

I got this fight right. Cejudo did weather that storm and I knew that he had to put some pressure on Moraes. I just thought that it would go longer. It looks like Moraes wilts under pressure-phonebooth fighting. It was right-hooks and knees from Cejudo, as he got the win. AND I love Cejudo’s little gimmicks, the dude was called boring, but now the man is fun and smooth, and a fantastic fighter. He called out some OLD folks in his post fight speech though. He should’ve called out Ricky Simon and Cory Sandhagen, if he wanted to be legit. read more

These are very worthy challengers for the Bantamweight title. I think Cejudo beat Dillashaw fairly-squarely when the two fought, even though that dude was jacked-up on EPO. I think Moraes would whoop Dillashaw’s ass no matter what steroid he was on. Moraes always looked to me, like aliens made him in a lab. Anyway, I think Cejudo will win this one, because Cejudo has terrific wrestling. I think he’ll have to weather some storms though, but I think he gets it done in 25 minutes. I thought I made a great pick with this one, but sometimes brute strength wins over technique. Sometimes that mad berzerker rage is better than sublime skill. Anyway, I can’t think of another female slam KO – ever. This has to be the first in the UFC at least

Jared Cannonier vs Anderson Silva

I got this fight right. I didnt think it would end so soon, and I didnt think that a leg kick would cause the ending either. Cannonier is very powerful at the weight class

Alexander Volkanovski vs Jose Aldo

Namajunas has fantastic coaching. I think the coaching contingent at her camp has some of the best coaching for females in MMA (periodt), so I think she’ll be prepared. I have a feeling that Rose will want to play a little Jiu Jitsu with Andrade at some point. Jedrzejczyk wrote the book on how to beat Andrade, I think Rose will follow it

So I didnt think that UFC 236 would be that good and I got pleasantly surprised. I made some bad calls. But its all good, some of the calls that I made were absolutely sublime.

Dustin Poirier vs. Max Holloway

I thought that Max would be big enough to handle Poirier. I thought he would actually have some power at this weight class. Turns out that it takes a little bit of time to develop that power. He also fought a very dangerous game and he ate a lot of shots in this fight. I know that he wants to stay in this weight class, so he’s stuck in a weird limbo right now. read more

Stylebender should win this one. It should be a boring affair for the casuals. It will go all five rounds. Adesanya has the reach, Gastelum has the chin.
