OK, I got this wrong, a couple of things; Poirier had a good game plan, those lowkicks did the trick, and it countered McGregor’s broad stance that he uses all the time. McGregor also loves to go into a boxing stance, and that’s even worse, because then, he’s heavy on the lead leg. Anyway, he got his leg smashed, which made him immobile, and basically set up the finish. The 2nd thing is that McGregor was moving down in weight for the first time in 2 years. So I didnt think that UFC 236 would be that good and I got pleasantly surprised. I made some bad calls. But its all good, some of the calls that I made were absolutely sublime.

I thought that Max would be big enough to handle Poirier. I thought he would actually have some power at this weight class. Turns out that it takes a little bit of time to develop that power.
