Jan. 10 I started off with an Unbroken Pick of Ode Osbourne over Brian Kelleher at UFC 246. That pick was indeed broken. It was a bad pick guys. poor

Jan. 12 At XKO 48 John Pham was unbroken. Also known as John Tao, and John Tao Pham. Tell that man to go by one name

Jan. 18 At LFA 80 Pat Miletich on the broadcast was unbroken

Covid-19 LFA continues in Park City, Kansas for LFA 96. Maycon Mendonca beat Batsumberel Dagvadorj by unanimous decision to capture the vacant LFA Welterweight title. Real time scoring is weird. There was one instance where the Judges all changed their scores from 10-9 to 10-8s. …interesting…

So its a tough time for MMA in Texas right now. There were zero local shows in Texas in the last six months and a lot of fighters are heaving a hard time. Guys can travel to places like Florida to try to get fights, but the fighters would have to have those connections already made, and they’d have to stop working to make the trip. Yes, All local fighters have jobs. The LFA is doing a good job getting fighters out to Sioux Falls, and putting on good shows. It would be nice if they could find a more central location for the fighters – But in this pandemic, you have to take what you can get. read more

So we’re back in the USA, back in Vegas and ready for more fights. The card aint so sexy, but you know, I guess the UFC has a PPV commitment. The model definitely needs to be changed. Maybe after the UFC pays off their debt they’ll change the model, but I can see this kinda thing going on for at least 2 more years.

I just know that some of these fights will be cancelled, and/or switched around…whatever

Kamaru UsmanvsGilbert Burns

I absolutely HATE picking fights between training partners. I hate it. The fights are usually weird and the fighters usually dont fight like themselves. Usman and Burns are friends, and have been training together for a long time, and now they get to fight each other. This happens a lot in Thai – Muay Thai fights, and those guys are still able to put on a show, so maybe these guys will put on a show here. I just think the grappling and striking is equal in the contest, and I think that Usman is a little more durable read more

What happened at UFC 252?

What happened at UFC 252?

OK, so the all TV MMA game rolls on. Stipe Miocic took on Daniel Cormier in “The Trilogy” for the UFC heavyweight title, and Stipe was able to come away with the unanimous victory of five rounds. It was a pretty entertaining show. A few heats were broken, but we roll on

Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier

The body shot was still there, the head kick was still there. DC is always trying to convice people that he ‘s fixed things, when its all the same, hes old. Miocic put in a workman like performance to get this victory. IMO Cormier would not have been the greatest Heavyweight in the UFC had he won. Randy Couture is way ahead of him, Stipe is in that argument now, because he tied Randy Couture for the most title fight wins in UFC history. So the fight that I think makes the most sense is Miocic vs Lewis. Stipe already has a win over Ngannou, and Lewis has a win over Ngannou. I like fresh fights in MMA, there are way too many good fighters to be having so many of theses 2s & 3s read more

The Trilogy! Its happening, and Daniel Cormier is waaaaay past his retirement date. I guess that retirement date wasn’t really a hard number after all. I predicted that this fight would not happen, BECAUSE of Cormier’s retirement, but here we are… And let me tell you this… I dont even believe Cormier will retire after THIS fight. I think the UFC will have to push him out. It makes no sense for Stipe to fight a guy that will want to call it quits after the fight. Hopefully, the UFC are paying this Firefighter. This fight is essentially a grudge match and not a title fight anymore, with retirement looming over the whole thing read more

Fury FC 42 Results

I’ve been kinda keeping up with the Fury promotion. They have great talent down there in Houston. The atmosphere is good, but the judging is soooooo bad. You guys saw it at UFC 247. It can get down right horrible at times, and I really think there is legit corruption there. I cant prove it, but the scores just dont make any sense.

Main Event

Christian Lira vs Jacob Silva – Featherweight – Fury FC title

Silva bounces well, throws some good single strikes. He backs up and rocks Lira with a flying knee and is able to get him down and beat him up. 🚩Silva wins by TKO read more

The LFA rolled into Belton, TX, just south of Temple to put on LFA 63. It was a fun card with a lot of wars. I was trying to watch The CES 55 event on Fight Pass, but my internet was going through some shit. I really wanted to see Jeremiah Wells. I saw on Twitter that he lost that fight due to a very, very very, very close decision. He’s a fantastic fighter. I didnt think he’d lose at all. Anyway – Back to Belton

Main Event

Justin Patterson vs Derrick Krantz – Welterweight

Round 1

Krantz keeps pulling Patterson into his power. Krantz has great footwork, and he seems to keep getting out of pressure traps that Patterson sets for him. Krantz blitzes Patterson and knocks him down. Krantz KOs Patterson as he tries to get up. An uppercut to knock him out, a straight left to baptize him. 🚩 Krantz wins by KO read more
