Henry Cejudo | vs | Marlon Moraes |
These are very worthy challengers for the Bantamweight title. I think Cejudo beat Dillashaw fairly-squarely when the two fought, even though that dude was jacked-up on EPO. I think Moraes would whoop Dillashaw’s ass no matter what steroid he was on. Moraes always looked to me, like aliens made him in a lab. Anyway, I think Cejudo will win this one, because Cejudo has terrific wrestling. I think he’ll have to weather some storms though, but I think he gets it done in 25 minutes. A lot a grapple-fucking
Valentina Shevchenko | vs | Jessica Eye |
Shevchenko should take this one. There will be counter-strikes galore. I also see Eye getting frustrated and wanting to take this one to the ground, and then “Bullet” might lock up a sub. I predict Shevchenko by sub. in round 2
Tony Ferguson | vs | Donald Cerrone |
I think this is a nightmare fight for Donald Cerrone. Just as he was streaking too. Donald Cerrone has fantastic, classic, devastating Muay Thai, but I think he wilts under pressure, and Ferguson will bring pressure. I don’t think that knees and elbows are a big part of Cerrone’s Muay Thai game. In the end that will cost him. Ferguson by KO round 3
Jimmie Rivera | vs | Petr Yan |
Rivera is tough, but Yan is tougher. Bantamweight is a very talent rich division now. Especially since Flyweight is essentially done. I think this one goes the distance
Tai Tuivasa | vs | Blagoy Ivanov |
I think of Tuivasa as a younger Mark Hunt. Does Blagoy Ivanov beat a young Mark Hunt? I don’t think so. I think Tuivasa gets the finish in the 2nd round
Tatiana Suarez | vs | Nina Ansaroff |
Suarez should wrestle-smash her way to victory here. Strawweight is talent rich. I’m personally very high on Maycee Barber. I think she’ll jump back over to Strawweight and shake things up there in a big way.
Alamain Sterling | vs | Pedro Munhoz |
This is a tough one to call. I think the Funkmaster will take it. Munhoz will spend a lot of time defending the takedown
Karolina Kowalkiewicz | vs | Alexa Grasso |
Kowalkiewicz has been looking exceptionally soft. Alexa Grasso is also soft. – I’m gonna say it- Maycee Barber eats these two alive. Kowalkiewicz will use her experience to get the win
Ricardo Lamas | vs | Calvin Kattar |
Both guys are mid tier, and not exceptional in my eyes. Lamas has so much experience though. I see him pulling this one out after three rounds
Xiaonan Yan | vs | Angela Hill |
I think Angela Hill has a lot of potential, but she takes unnecessary risks. Sometimes, I play this little mental game where I try to think of which gyms would be beneficial to certain fighters. I really think that Pat Barry and Co. in Colorado can pep up Angela Hill’s game. Yan is super tough, but I cant see her getting pass Hill- who is trying to prove something at the moment
Bevon Lewis | vs | Darren Stewart |
I think the dentist will do some extractions in this fight. First round KO by Stewart
Katlyn Chookagian | vs | Joanne Calderwood |
Chookagian doesn’t have piss and vinegar that Calderwood has. I also think that Calderwood might have better technical Muay Thai than Chookagian.
Eddie Wineland | vs | Grigorii Popov |
All I know about Grigorii Popov is that his Muay Thai is real, and that he trains at Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand That is all I need to know, to believe that he will beat Eddie Wineland, who is stiff and robotic on the feet.
