Rey Trujillo vs Daniel Pineda – Featherweight
Round 1
Pineda takes Trujillo down, beats the hell out of him and rides him around the ring to get the TKO victory. 🚩Pineda wins by TKO
Pineda knew exactly what what he was doing. This was a world-class professional ground beating. Pineda easily transitioned from RNC to Arm-triangle, to hell-bows. He’s needs high level fights at high level organizations.

How to know if you’re a casual MMA fan
I don’t watch a lot of soap operas, but when I was little, I couldn’t ignore the fact that there was a doll that came to life on “Passions” – and I know a lot of people could not couldn’t ignore it either, because it was a very popular show. MMA is getting to be a little like that. People like popular talking points, people like drama. Okay here’s another example to get my point across – So I was hanging out at a local bar that I go by after work and I was talking to the bartender, and I was asking her if she liked MMA and she said, “no, I don’t like MMA but, I like Conor McGregor, because he talks a lot of shit”, and I said, “You don’t like his karate style? You don’t like his left hand? You don’t like how quick he is? Do you only like his talking game? and she said “Yes, I just like how he disrespects people and the whole back and fourth.” She went on to tell me that her favorite pro-wrestler was The Undertaker, and that she doesn’t really like wrestling either, but she enjoys the pageantry of it all – This is what the casual fan is. Back when I was 14, I didnt care about about Soap Operas, I didnt care anything about the story, all that I was focused on, is that a doll named Timmy came to life.
What happened at UFC 237?
Rose Namajunas vs Jessica Andrade
I thought I made a great pick with this one, but sometimes brute strength wins over technique. Sometimes that mad berzerker rage is better than sublime skill. Anyway, I can’t think of another female slam KO – ever. This has to be the first in the UFC at least
Jared Cannonier vs Anderson Silva
I got this fight right. I didnt think it would end so soon, and I didnt think that a leg kick would cause the ending either. Cannonier is very powerful at the weight class
Alexander Volkanovski vs Jose Aldo
Volkanovski whooped that ass. Aldo didnt even want to win the third round. He had absolutely no urgency. I even predicted a 4th round finish. Joke’s on you guys it only went 3 rounds. 😁

UFC 237 Picks
Rose Namajunas | vs | Jessica Andrade |
Namajunas has fantastic coaching. I think the coaching contingent at her camp has some of the best coaching for females in MMA (periodt), so I think she’ll be prepared. I have a feeling that Rose will want to play a little Jiu Jitsu with Andrade at some point. Jedrzejczyk wrote the book on how to beat Andrade, I think Rose will follow it
Jared Cannonier | vs | Anderson Silva |
Cannonier looks good at 185 and I think he’ll continue to look good. Anderson Silva can be a tricky fight for anyone, but you have to not let the spider get into your head. I see this one going the distance and Cannonier taking it. – His great coaching will get him through

XKO 45: Prelims and Blog Post
Check out the XKO 45 Main card
So XKO 45 took place on 4/27/19 and that was a fantastic show. The XKO events are always organized and seem to have an interesting feel to them. This show was in the new Texas Live complex which – I heard will be the biggest entertainment complex in the state of Texas. The square cage was outdoors, with shade from the building being constructed and natural light coming in – The humongous Dallas Cowboys stadium is just in the background. The fighters were local and very very very good. I was impressed with the production team. I was impressed with the pacing, I was impressed with the parking situation
