Main event

Joshua Silveira vs Rafael Viana – Light Heavyweight

Round 1

Silveira gets a big double leg, takes the back, and gets the rear naked choke.🚩 Silveira wins by submission

I already know that Silveira is good at grappling! I’ve seen it! I want to see Silveira’s hands. The LFA should find a wrestler to fight Silveira. -That’s the ticket

Luis Gavinho vs Terrence McKinney – Lightweight

Round 1

McKinney walks Gavinho down, throws some feints with this hands, and throws a big left Highkick. It drops Gavinho, McKinney falls after the kick, but had the wherewithal to finish Gavinho with strikes. 🚩McKinney wins by TKO

Not a lot happened here, but in this short time, McKinney looked like he knew what he was doing, and Gavinho looked old.

Kyle Estrada vs Tyler Wilson – 140 lbs

Round 1

Wilson eats lowkicks

Round 2

Estrada throws more lowkicks, and Wilson just clinches when he can

Round 3

Leg kicks by Estrada, Wilson clinches and does a little damage.🚩 Estrada wins by unanimous decision

Estrada got tired as the fight went on, and he had problems dealing with the clinch. Estrada had some success with his hands, but he didnt want to throw them often for some reason. Wilson just looked tough, and that was it

Edwin Chavez vs Cheydon Leialoha – Featherweight

Round 1

Leialoha lands a good kick and punches and goes for the double leg. Chavez glues himself to Leialoha and eats some knees for his trouble, Leialoha tries for a guilotine

Round 2

Leialoha clinches and throws some knees. The Hawaiian had a point deducted for strikes to a grounded oppenent, but the attentive Oklahoma commission corrected the incorrect point deduction, and the round went on as usual. Leialoha gets on top and throws some elbows.

Round 3

Chavez continues to grab for a single leg and get beat up.🚩 Leialoha wins by unanimous decision

Guys lose fights in several different ways, one of them is gluing yourself to your opponent and getting beat to a pulp. That’s a very brave way to lose a fight in my opinion. Chavez put his brains on the line. Leialoha looked good. I dont think he really exceled in any one particular area. He grappled a lot because, that’s kinda what Chavez wanted to do, but when he was striking he looked good

Bubba Grant vs Trevor Wallace – Heavyweight

Round 1

Grand gets rocked early, but runs away and regains his composure. Grant comes back and lands some solid jabs. Wallace shoots, Grant sprawls and takes the back and delivers ground and pound. 🚩Grant wins by TKO

Grant came back from some adversity to get the win here. I think Grant was actually a little more technical than Wallace and had a little more in that tank than Wallace did. Little to no defense in this fight

William Elliott vs Mando Gutierrez – Bantamweight

Round 1

Elliott comes out throwing heat, and he drops Gutierrez early. The two have a slugfest, and Elliott hits Gutierrez with some bombs and gets him belly down. Elliott tries for the rear naked choke but Gutierrez fights out of it and gets on top of Elliott. Gutierrez does work on top and eventually locks up the RNC.🚩 Mando Gutierrez wins by submission.

This was a knock-down-drag-out fight, and Gutierrez was lucky not to get finished. Gutierrez has good grappling and fantastic heart, but his striking isn’t very crisp. I’m looking to see where both guys go from here.

William Elliott a& Mando Gutierrez was unbroken
