MMA picks, information on the UFC, LFA and other organizations
I’m trying to think of worst Pay-per-view cards. I care sooo little about most of these fights on this show that I debated whether I should put my picks up or not. Other than both main events, this card is lacking. Like seriously lacking. Many of the other fighters are having their first or second fights in the UFC, or they’re coming off long lay-offs. I have no problem with them putting these fighters on a “Fight night” but I always thought the “UFC XXX” cards were special. Guess not
OK, So I watched all of the Contender Series and I graded every single fighter. You’re Welcome. Well… It was actually fun. Anyway these are based on their show performance, and its not an overall rating of the fighter.
So these are my terrific 10. I have a few more guys with 4/5 stars on my list but I feel like these 2 just edged all of them. I had Antonio Trocoli on my list, but he tested positive for a PED.
Two guys on my list did not get contracts. Impa Kasanganay and Justin Gonzales did not get contracts, I did not keep them off the list, because they performed very well.
Yeah, So Poirier just cannot deal with the wrestling. I usually dont like to play matchmaker, but I think Poirier should fight McGregor a second time, its good for eyes on the Fight game, and its good for Poirier’s bank account. I also think that Ferguson is just undeniable right now.
So I Pick Barboza, I think he won, but Felder worked some kind of Voodoo on the judges. I dont understand 30-27 for Felder at all, because Barboza dominated that 2nd round.
This pick was unbroken, from me. I think Davi Ramos has a very high upside, he just needs to work on his hands.
So, you’d think that an Abu Dhabi card would be stacked. You’d think that every fighter and the mother, would want to get on that card, so they could tell all their friends and family that they fought in Abu Dhabi. It looks so good on a fighter’s resume, doesn’t it? I think the card is a little bland and I’m actually more intrigued by the ESPN Vancouver card.

Its a big surprise that I pick Khabib, huh? I think Poirier is a good challenger, and I think he’s very strong at 155, but I just don’t think he has what it takes to deal with the wrestling. In my opinion Ferguson should be fighting for the tittle anyway.

So that’s it. Its over. For this year at least. There were some guys on the show that deserved contracts that didnt get them for one reason or another.
There were some killers, that fought other killers and got a tough shake, and there were some guys that got in because Dana liked their personality.

So, the show is all about finding talent, but sometimes they just want to find personalities… Eh, that’s how it goes I guess. Capitalism is not a meritocracy, the winners are who ever brings in the most money.
Anyway there are a couple of fights I’m looking forward to seeing. I really want to see Leon Shahbazyan – I don’t know too much about him, but I’ve heard he’s a wizz on the ground. I’m also looking forward to see Kailan Hill. Now Hill is a take your head off destroyer – I’ve seen him tear things up in LFA. He throws wild stuff, and he’s very thick and powerful. He’s fighting Impa Kasanganay. It kinda looks like Dana gave Hill a layup in this one, but we’ll see

This didnt happen like how I imagined it would happen. I thought that Miocic would keep him on the outside and use his jab, but DC decided to go Robocop on Stipe for 3 rounds and got his ass knocked out. Big up to Stipe for finding that body, and then finding the head. I personally think that the body shot is one of DC’s big weaknesses
Do you think that Nate Diaz would come back if he thought that he couldn’t beat Pettis? Not a chance. I don’t think he’ll fight Usman, or any wrestler for that matter. If he fights Masvidal he’ll get his ass whooped also, but I do think this sets up a McGregor trilogy for him. Pettis as no heart, that’s about it.
I’m pretty excited about this card. I think it’s because I feel like I know what’s going to happen. So be sure to empty your bank accounts, and get on a shady gambling site and ruin your lives. 😊 Great fights here too

Stipe will try to stay on the outside, and try to wear out Cormier in the clinch. I think this goes all 5 rounds and I think the firefighter will take it.
| Nate Diaz | vs | Anthony Pettis |
This one is a little hard to predict, since Diaz has been out for so long. Diaz doesn’t fight with his hands down like Wonderboy, so there’s that…and I also think that Pettis doesn’t have the juice anymore. We’ll get to see if Diaz still has the pace and the stamina that he’s known for
ALL CONTENDER SERIES 2019 GRADES
There is some real talent in Contender series this year. Every now and again they give fighters a layup, and every now and again they set two super tough fighters against each other. Last season they set Maycee Barber up against Jamie Colleen. Jamie Colleen is a straight killer, and it just wasn’t her night, that night. This season I saw Armando Villarreal vs Ode Osbourne, both those dudes can scrap. So sometimes the match ups can be a little unfair.
Coming up, I’m looking forward to see Tony Gravely vs Ray Rodriguez. I also want to see how Harvey Park does. Harvey Park’s fights are totally silly; he eats punches and leaves himself wide open, but here’s the kicker, he has great fight IQ and he seems to possess the Justin Gaethje gene It’ll be interesting in Week 7 and 8

I got this one right. I think the fight went how I thought it would. Max is just a weight class bigger than Edgar, and his power just means more.
Cyborg did not get the finish in round 2, Cyborg did not even break Felicia Spencer. The girl was still coming forward and getting after it. I was right that she wouldnt be able to take Cyborg down like she did to Anderson, but I didnt know that she could eat so many shots. Teach her some feints, headmovement, and some MMA boxing and I think she could be a champ in 3 years.
