UFC 245 Picks

UFC 245 Picks

Ok, I’m gland that we’re back to UFC cards looking like UFC cards. UFC 245 looks like how a big fight card supposed to look. Maybe its because its the last UFC XXX card of the year

Kamaru UsmanvsColby Covington

Both of these guys have fantastic high level wrestling, but I’m still blown away by Usman beating Tyron Woodley, the way he did. I’m less impressed with Covington’s win over Robbie Lawler, but it counts for something. I think Usman is incredibly smart, and I think he’s wise to what Covington wants to do. This fight is about who has the better cardio read more

What happened at UFC 244?

OK, so the atmosphere was fire. The name recognition was there, and the fights were good. I think it was a successful UFC. Tough guys were 0 for 4 on this card, and boy, were my picks wrong 🙁 worst of the year

Here are my picks

Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz

Tough guy no. 4 The fight started out like I thought it would, it didn’t end like I thought it would, but, I think all that is academical. Masvidal was going to beat Nate Diaz to a bloody pulp, and if they fight in Vegas, for a rematch, gamebred would paint the canvas red with Nate’s blood. I think Masvidal wants the fight, because its a very easy paycheck for him. That is all. This was my unbroken pick, and I missed the round call, but eh… it wasn’t bad. read more

Stacked card here. Now this is a real UFC XXX event. UFC 244 brings it

Jorge MasvidalvsNate Diaz

So the BMF title is not a real belt, but it’s even more important than a real belt. The winner of it can call his shot. The winner can move up or down in any weight-class and challenge who ever he wants. There is enormous clout here. Other fighters will want to fight the BMF champion and take his title from him. It is real, but then again, not real. I think the pick is cut and dry here. Jorge Masvidal will dominate Nate Diaz, I foresee a 2nd round finish, I really want to say 1st round, but Diaz is known for his toughness read more

What happened at UFC 243?

What happened at UFC 243?

Well Eh. We kinda left this UFC 243 card just finding out more about some young fighters.

Robert Whittaker vs Israel Adesanya

Whittaker was trying to not get picked apart on the outside, so he was trying to rush in. He got caught several times doing that, but he continued, tried his luck and got knocked out. If I’m in the Cannonier camp I’d be trying to fight Whittaker. Adesanya will likely face Borrachinha next. Got this pick right

Al Iaquinta vs Dan Hooker

I forgot about the physical tools that Hooker has in his arsenal. He used those physical tools to keep Iaquinta away, and just out-pointed him read more

UFC 243 Picks

I’m trying to think of worst Pay-per-view cards. I care sooo little about most of these fights on this show that I debated whether I should put my picks up or not. Other than both main events, this card is lacking. Like seriously lacking. Many of the other fighters are having their first or second fights in the UFC, or they’re coming off long lay-offs. I have no problem with them putting these fighters on a “Fight night” but I always thought the “UFC XXX” cards were special. Guess not read more

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Dustin Poirier

Yeah, So Poirier just cannot deal with the wrestling. I usually dont like to play matchmaker, but I think Poirier should fight McGregor a second time, its good for eyes on the Fight game, and its good for Poirier’s bank account. I also think that Ferguson is just undeniable right now.

Paul Felder vs Edson Barboza

So I Pick Barboza, I think he won, but Felder worked some kind of Voodoo on the judges. I dont understand 30-27 for Felder at all, because Barboza dominated that 2nd round.

Islam Makhachev vs Davi Ramos

This pick was unbroken, from me. I think Davi Ramos has a very high upside, he just needs to work on his hands. read more

So, you’d think that an Abu Dhabi card would be stacked. You’d think that every fighter and the mother, would want to get on that card, so they could tell all their friends and family that they fought in Abu Dhabi. It looks so good on a fighter’s resume, doesn’t it? I think the card is a little bland and I’m actually more intrigued by the ESPN Vancouver card.

Khabib NurmagomedovvsDustin Poirier

Its a big surprise that I pick Khabib, huh? I think Poirier is a good challenger, and I think he’s very strong at 155, but I just don’t think he has what it takes to deal with the wrestling. In my opinion Ferguson should be fighting for the tittle anyway. read more

Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier

This didnt happen like how I imagined it would happen. I thought that Miocic would keep him on the outside and use his jab, but DC decided to go Robocop on Stipe for 3 rounds and got his ass knocked out. Big up to Stipe for finding that body, and then finding the head. I personally think that the body shot is one of DC’s big weaknesses

Nate Diaz vs Anthony Pettis

Do you think that Nate Diaz would come back if he thought that he couldn’t beat Pettis? Not a chance. I don’t think he’ll fight Usman, or any wrestler for that matter. If he fights Masvidal he’ll get his ass whooped also, but I do think this sets up a McGregor trilogy for him. Pettis as no heart, that’s about it. read more

UFC 241 recap

I’m pretty excited about this card. I think it’s because I feel like I know what’s going to happen. So be sure to empty your bank accounts, and get on a shady gambling site and ruin your lives. 😊 Great fights here too

Daniel CormiervsStipe Miocic

Stipe will try to stay on the outside, and try to wear out Cormier in the clinch. I think this goes all 5 rounds and I think the firefighter will take it.

Nate DiazvsAnthony Pettis

This one is a little hard to predict, since Diaz has been out for so long. Diaz doesn’t fight with his hands down like Wonderboy, so there’s that…and I also think that Pettis doesn’t have the juice anymore. We’ll get to see if Diaz still has the pace and the stamina that he’s known for read more

Contender Series Grades Week 3 and 4

ALL CONTENDER SERIES 2019 GRADES

So Contender series really has improved. I was excited to see Armando Villarreal, but he got beat by a very hot prospect in Ode Osbourne. I have to make a pick between my Jamaican roots, and my Texas sensibilities. Villarreal has the bad habit of putting himself in bad situations, and when you fight people at the highest level, they take advantage of that.

So again, Here are grades of some of the talent on the show. These grades are only based on their Contender Series performance, and not their performance before in other organizations read more
