OK, so the rematch. Was it a fluke that Stipe beat Ngannou before? You cant call a 5 round win a Fluke though. I called Stipe at UFC 252 against Cormier, and I’ll call him again, why? The same reason I gave before; Stipe does well with adversity. I personally think that you have to, out technique Stipe to beat him, and I kinda view the DC loss as an anomaly TBH. UFG 259 was huge. It was almost like a big football event. Plenty of fights, plenty of talking points. It was just a monster for fight fans. If you are a fight fan, it was one of the “must see events”

This. This is a fantastic card. This is what I want to see. Every fight on the main card means something, and most of the fights on the prelims mean something. Love it. Love it. Love it. Maybe the UFC can save the PPVs for moments like these and stop having throw away PPV cards. We’re still in the pandemic, the vaccine is still getting doled out, and we have no idea when things could be back to normal. I’m optimistic though…We have vaccines, they say its something like 95% efficient. I’m no scientist, but that sounds like a good thing. So much weirdness with so many fights falling through. Kamaru Usman beat Gilbert Burns by TKO in the 3rd round of the Main Event at UFC 258 to retain his Welterweight Title.

All the fight cancellations are so exhausting. Fighters do a lot of interviews and press for no reason. They travel for no reason. Its rough

So we’re back in the USA, back in Vegas and ready for more fights. The card aint so sexy, but you know, I guess the UFC has a PPV commitment. The model definitely needs to be changed. Maybe after the UFC pays off their debt they’ll change the model, but I can see this kinda thing going on for at least 2 more years.

I just know that some of these fights will be cancelled, and/or switched around…whatever

I absolutely HATE picking fights between training partners. I hate it. The fights are usually weird and the fighters usually dont fight like themselves. Usman and Burns are friends, and have been training together for a long time, and now they get to fight each other. This happens a lot in Thai – Muay Thai fights, and those guys are still able to put on a show, so maybe these guys will put on a show here. OK, I got this wrong, a couple of things; Poirier had a good game plan, those lowkicks did the trick, and it countered McGregor’s broad stance that he uses all the time. McGregor also loves to go into a boxing stance, and that’s even worse, because then, he’s heavy on the lead leg. Anyway, he got his leg smashed, which made him immobile, and basically set up the finish. The 2nd thing is that McGregor was moving down in weight for the first time in 2 years. The UFC back, back in Abu Dhabi for UFC 257 McGregor vs Poirier 2. Of course Dana White is playing weird games with the 155 title. I’ve said this on twitter. – If Conor McGregor and/or Michael Chandler wins, the title is gonna be up for grabs, If both McGregor and Chandler lose, then we’re gonna have to wait for the Justin Gaethje vs Charles Oliveira fight.
