My Picks are so bad. They are horrible this week. I know some people check this site just for the picks. But damn, I feel like I let some of you guys down. I was also requested to expound on some of my reasoning for the outcomes of the fights. I’ll do what I can
Controversy. I’ll start by saying this; I was very impressed with Reyes’ cardio. He sort of has a point about that whole “athlete” schtick that he’s pushing. He had enough in the tank at the end to fend off the take down and look decent. I thought he won that fight. I thought Reyes won 1 & 2 and Jones won 4 & 5. Round 3 was tight, and I personally think that Reyes edged it. The fight could’ve also been a draw with a rare 10-10 round for round 3. I really really need to watch the Thiago Santos fight again. Anyway, Jones had to answer the question if he’s still evolving. As of right now, I say “No”. I dont think he’s evolved since the Thiago Santos fight. I didn’t see any new tools in the toolbox, I didn’t see any sublime skill that he’s known for. I also didn’t like his interviews leading up to the fight – They just didn’t seem honest. What do I think Jon Jones should do? He should Go to Thailand and work on a clinch game – seriously. He needs to just keep evolving. Reyes deserves a rematch.
The UFC is doing the right thing by skipping a week and allowing people to talk about the the UFC 247 card coming up. Its in Houston, and its pretty big. Any card with Jon Jones is pretty big.
Jon Jones | vs | Dominick Reyes |
I think this is a big fight for Jones. He’s coming off the Thiago Santos Split decision – I think he lost that fight – And he’s gonna want to prove that he’s still the top dog. Reyes is undefeated, and is a worthy contender. Jones’ game is always evolving, I want to see if it’s still evolving.
So, I’ve seen a lot of fights in 2019. Ofcourse I havent seen everyone, but, I’ll go with the stuff I know. So here are my top 5 rankings, in weight divisions in Texas. Ofcourse, guys in larger organizations are excluded
Women have a tough time in the fight game in general. They may need to travel to get fights, They may need to move up and down in weight classes, and sometimes life just gets in the way. A lot of good female fighters in Texas never really move on from the Amateur scene. Id really like to put Sam Hughes on this list. She’s fought in Texas a couple of times, but she really is from the PNW. She’d be number 1 or 2 on this list. Demopoulos fights out of California, but she’s had several fights in Texas
OK. So you can check out what went down at the LFA 62 prelims here
Most People show up to the Bomb Factory right before the Main Card. All the roid monkeys, and the douchebags fade away, and only the fighters and the nerds are left in the crowd

Round 1
Kenney starts off by feeling out his opponent. He hits him with some spinning techniques to the gut. Cachero is bouncing around and moving well but he does not respect Kenney’s ability to hurt him. Kenney hits Cachero with a reinforced knee and Knocks him out.
🚩 Kenney wins by KO
A Blog Post.
So, this is my first LIVE event. Yes, I’ve never been to a live MMA event, and this is my first one. I feel like I’ve been watching MMA forever though. I watch boxing, I watch Muay Thai once in a while, I watch grappling competitions when I can, but I’ve never been to a live MMA event.
I went to Dallas to check out LFA 62. The venue was The Bomb factory, located in Deep Ellum close to all the bars and night clubs on a Friday night. After about 9 p.m. Traffic gets Jacked.
