What happened at UFC 255?

So UFC 255 happened and the Prelims were more entertaining than the maincard. I had some pretty bad picks.

Here are the picks

Deiveson Figueiredo vs Alex Perez

Figgy got the job done. I just think Perez didn’t even get started, and Figgy took the neck that was presented to him. And that was that. Moreno is the next fight. I dont care if Garbrandt is available. -He may have to wait

Valentina Shevchenko vs Jennifer Maia

Valentina is very accurate, I think that is what won her this fight. She was just connecting everytime she threw, and when is shape, Maia is very good. Someone should talk to that girl and tell her to never come in fat again. Valentina wrestles very technically, and that was one of the tools that she used in this fight

Mike Perry vs Tim Means

Maybe if Mike Perry had a coach, that coach could make sure that he was on weight, and he wouldn’t give up 30% of his purse for missing weight. This was the worst Mike Perry I’ve seen in the UFC, the man lacked energy and speed, and was only relying on his chin. Means was landing more, but Means wasn’t great either.

Katlyn Chookagian vs Cynthia Calvillo

I should’ve changed my pick after I saw Cynthia Calvillo at the stare-down. Calvillo had her hands in her pockets, and didn’t look like she was going into a fight. And – I dont think she got into a fight. Calvillo played Chookagian’s game for the whole fight and took the loss, she never closed the distance, and she could never get into the clinch.

Mauricio Rua vs Paul Craig

Rua looked timid and old. Tapping to strikes was just the cherry on top. I picked Rua and I never factored age into the equation here. I was wrong

Brandon Moreno vs Brandon Royval

its a little bit disappointing that Royval had his shoulder dislocated during this fight, because I thought rawdog was winning on the feet and turned Moreno into a wrestler. Royval fights way too wild and unpredictably to be carrying around an injury like that. Shoulder dislocations very very very common, and there are a lot of fighters that have them. Hopefully Royval can find a good sports doctor and get a long term solution for that problem. Moreno? Moreno should fight for the title

Joaquin Buckley vs Jordan Wright

Jordan Wright keeps his hands way too low and Buckley has so much power, it was inevitable. Buckley says he wants James Krause. I think its a very good call out.

Antonina Shevchenko vs Ariane Lipski

Lipski is not very good and beats girls that shouldnt be in the UFC. Antonina should be in the UFC

Nicolas Dalby vs Daniel Rodriguez

For some reason, Rodriguez didn’t want to close the distance and apply pressure. Dalby stayed on the outside and got the win.

Alan Jouban vs Jared Gooden

I was wrong in my prediction of this fight. I got the outcome right, but I said that Jouban would be stiff. Jouban was not stiff at all, and had good technical striking, I was impressed with Alan Jouban. Jared Gooden was stiff and robotic

Kyle Daukaus vs Dustin Stolzfus

Daukaus is a little frustrating. He got the win, but the thing about it is, he’s got all these tools and all these skills, but he cant seem to put them together. He was winning on the feet, but he still wants to get in close. He wants to get it to the ground, but then he doesn’t want it on the ground. He has room to go up to 205, but I hope he figures out how to use his tools before he does that. I’d like to see Stolzfus vs Impa Kasanganay

Sasha Palatnikov vs Louis Cosce

Palatnikov exposed the fact that Cosce hasn’t been out of the 1st round before. Cosce just ran out of gas at the end. Palatnikov eats shot though. -All these ingredients make for a great fight!

My Buckley call was unbroken

I got 6/12. That’s pretty bad for me
