UFC 247 Picks

The UFC is doing the right thing by skipping a week and allowing people to talk about the the UFC 247 card coming up. Its in Houston, and its pretty big. Any card with Jon Jones is pretty big.

Jon JonesvsDominick Reyes

I think this is a big fight for Jones. He’s coming off the Thiago Santos Split decision – I think he lost that fight – And he’s gonna want to prove that he’s still the top dog. Reyes is undefeated, and is a worthy contender. Jones’ game is always evolving, I want to see if it’s still evolving.

Valentina ShevchenkovsKatlyn Chookagian

Chookagian is a point fighter, and Shevchenko is a better point-fighter. This fight can be a game of tag all night, or Shevchenko can bring the fight to Chookagian

Justin TafavsJuan Adams

Tafa looked fairly naive in his UFC debut. I got Adams

Dan IgevsMirsad Bektic

Dan Ige gets busy. I predict a KO

Derrick LewisvsIlir Latifi

I think there is a path to victory for Latifi, but no one can deny the Derrick Lewis power. This hometown guy will get a lot of Houston love. Derrick Lewis by KO

Trevin GilesvsAntonio Arroyo

Arroyo was one of the best Contender Series performers. I think that he’ll know how to manage Giles. I think Arroyo picks up a submission here

Alex MoronovsKalinn Williams

Williams is very dangerous and very powerful. Morono will have to use his experience in this one. I think he gets it done

Andrea LeevsLauren Murphy

Andrea Lee has been in decline for the past year, IMO. She needs to go back to her roots. I think this one is close. I think Andrea Lee is more technical than Murphy, but Murphy is a just a little more tougher

Miles JohnsvsMario Bautista

Miles Johns should pick this one up

Domingo PilartevsJourney Newson

Pilarte can put himself in bad positions, but he has a ton of heart. I see him getting it done here

Andre EwellvsJonathan Martinez

Andre Ewell. speed speed speed speed.

Austin LingovsYoussef Zalal

This is one of those fights that the UFC just straight up stole from the LFA. Austin Lingo has power in them hands, Zalal will be playing a dangerous game if he wants to stand with him. Zalal has good grappling, but Lingo ain’t no slouch on the floor either.

The Dan Ige call will be unbroken
