Stacked card here. Now this is a real UFC XXX event. UFC 244 brings it
Jorge Masvidal | vs | Nate Diaz |
So the BMF title is not a real belt, but it’s even more important than a real belt. The winner of it can call his shot. The winner can move up or down in any weight-class and challenge who ever he wants. There is enormous clout here. Other fighters will want to fight the BMF champion and take his title from him. It is real, but then again, not real. I think the pick is cut and dry here. Jorge Masvidal will dominate Nate Diaz, I foresee a 2nd round finish, I really want to say 1st round, but Diaz is known for his toughness
Kelvin Gastelum | vs | Darren Till |
Darren Till put a lot of pressure on himself by taking this fight. He didnt take an easier fight to see how he would look at 185, he jumped right into the fire. I think this matchup is a good one for him though. Gastelum is smaller, and Till should be able to use his size to get the win.
Stephen Thompson | vs | Vicente Luque |
Luque decided to go to war in his last few fights to get noticed, and I think he did get noticed. Thompson is an awkward test, and if Luque can pick up the win I think he’ll move on to be a title challenger. I think Luque is incredibly smart, and by the looks of it, super tough, I think Luque will get the win here.
Derrick Lewis | vs | Blagoy Ivanov |
Derrick Lewis could probably challenge for the title. yes, really. He hasn’t fought Stipe Miocic, and he has a key win over Francis Ngannou. A win over Ivanov would solidify his position as the next one in line. The Daniel Cormier thing is weird – He wants to fight one last time and vacate the belt if he wins? Does he want an exhibition fight or something? IMO Cormier should either fight Ngannou or retire, this one fight grudge situation is a bit foolish. Anyway, back to the fight. Ivanov is super-durable, he’s made out of the toughest Russian stuff on this planet, his HP is the highest in the video game. I do not see the Russian getting finished, and I dont think Lewis is technical enough to win on the judges score card
Kevin Lee | vs | Gregor Gillespie |
This fight is tough to bet on. I’ll be more clear: Do not bet on this fight. Lee has been at tri-star getting some work, and Gillespie is just as sick with the wrestling as ever. I think Gillespie gets the win here
Corey Anderson | vs | Johnny Walker |
For the life of me, I cant understand why this is a prelim. This fight could be the main event of this card. I think that this is the real 205 contender fight- Weidman was just too easy for Reyes. Anyway, I dont think Corey Anderson has ever seen anything like Johnny Walker, and I think the Brazilian will get it done. Get your popcorn ready
Shane Burgos | vs | Makwan Amirkhani |
I view both these guys as middle of the pack guys, Amirkhani is more grittier though. He has a little more piss and vinegar, I’ll go with him
Brad Tavares | vs | Edmen Shahbazyan |
Shahbazyan is all finesse, he’ll hit you with one punch and hurt you, He’ll get on top of you and put 5 tons of pressure on you, he’ll put you in positions that you dont want to be in. He’s surgical. 2nd round finish for Shahbazyan
Andrei Arlovski | vs | Jairzinho Rozenstruik |
Arlovski’s boxing has been greatly improved, but Rozenstruik has very educated boxing and has raw face melting power. I can see Arlovski being a little too eager in this fight and getting caught. This fight is a little hard to call, because Rozenstruik is a bit of an unknown entity in MMA
Kaitlyn Chookagian | vs | Jennifer Maia |
Chookagian is a little over rated, but she has a length advantage of Maia. She’ll be putting out a lot of “Ki-Yas!” to get the win
Lyman Good | vs | Chance Rencountre |
Both of these guys are good. Its a shame they have to fight each other right now, but, dems tha breaks. Rencountre’s wrestling is fantastic. The man is just tough as nails. I think he’s going to stick to Good like glue, and prevent him from getting off any strikes
Julio Arce | vs | Hakeem Dawodu |
Julio Arce should be able to pick the win up here. This is probably the most least anticipated fight on the card, but, its still a good fight
The Masvidal call will be unbroken
