Fury FC 44 results

MMA is back to full capacity in Texas, Fury FC 44 took place at the Bayou City Event center in Houston, TX and this was the first event for Fury on UFC FightPass. I’m so glad that its on FightPass because paying for some of the Fury events can be rough… I mean the fights are good, but some of the production can be absolutely horrible. With the FightPass deal, the production is significantly beefed up

This show had Prelims and Postlims, in between those, the main event showcased CJ Vergara vs Jacob Silva for the Fury FC Flyweight title. These two top level flyweight had a war, and CJ Vergara captured the Fury FC Flyweight title, by TKO in the 3rd round, in one of the best fights I’ve seen across any promotion, this year, so far. I’ve been kinda keeping up with the Fury promotion. They have great talent down there in Houston. The atmosphere is good, but the judging is soooooo bad. You guys saw it at UFC 247. It can get down right horrible at times, and I really think there is legit corruption there. I cant prove it, but the scores just dont make any sense.

Main Event

Christian Lira vs Jacob Silva – Featherweight – Fury FC title

Round 1

Silva bounces well, throws some good single strikes. He backs up and rocks Lira with a flying knee and is able to get him down and beat him up. 🚩Silva wins by TKO read more

Fury FC 32: Round by Round results

Fury FC 32 was in Humble, TX – a suburb of Houston. They had great amateurs and good pro fights. The promotion is starting to travel all around the Southwest and is gaining a lot of popularity.

Rey Trujillo vs Daniel Pineda – Featherweight

Round 1

Pineda takes Trujillo down, beats the hell out of him and rides him around the ring to get the TKO victory. 🚩Pineda wins by TKO

Pineda knew exactly what what he was doing. This was a world-class professional ground beating. Pineda easily transitioned from RNC to Arm-triangle, to hell-bows. He’s needs high level fights at high level organizations. read more

What happened at UFC 259?

What happened at UFC 259?

UFG 259 was huge. It was almost like a big football event. Plenty of fights, plenty of talking points. It was just a monster for fight fans. If you are a fight fan, it was one of the “must see events”

No fights really fell through… The MMA Gods said “Go ahead and have some fun” … I think the vaccine is working, as I write this, 10% of the US population is vaccinated, and the CDC says that vaccinated people can gather in-doors without a mask… That’s a win read more

Here what actually happened

This. This is a fantastic card. This is what I want to see. Every fight on the main card means something, and most of the fights on the prelims mean something. Love it. Love it. Love it. Maybe the UFC can save the PPVs for moments like these and stop having throw away PPV cards. We’re still in the pandemic, the vaccine is still getting doled out, and we have no idea when things could be back to normal. I’m optimistic though…We have vaccines, they say its something like 95% efficient. I’m no scientist, but that sounds like a good thing. If we can get these into the right people’s arms, I’m hoping that fans should be back in arenas by the fall, read more
