LFA 76 Round by Round results

Surprise! The LFA isn’t gonna be on AXSTV anymore. Isn’t that a fantastic surprise? I’m guessing that they want to get into the wrestling market and just be an all wrestling all the time channel, or something like that. I’ve actually kept a cable package just for AXSTV, just for the LFA. That’s it. And whatever platform the LFA is on, I’m going to watch it, just like LFA 76

Pat Miletich really grew on me. Ron Kruck is great at calling fights, and conveying the mood of the area. I’m really gonna miss it

Anyway, Park City, Kansas of all places was the site of the last broadcast.

Main event

Trey Ogden vs Nick Browne – Lightweight

Round 1

Browne measures and keeps away. Browne then gets Ogden down, takes his back and slaps a neck crank on him. Ogden taps.🚩 Browne wins by submission

Browne just looked like he knew what he was doing. He had a gameplan and executed it to perfection. I’m not very high on Ogden, I think he has a ways to go.

LFA 76

Joaquin Buckley vs Chris Harris – Middleweight

Round 1

Buckley rocks Harris several times. He catches him with an uppercut and then finishes him on the ground with strikes. 🚩 Buckley wins by TKO

Buckley’s movement reminds me of one of my favorite fighters, Jeremiah Wells. I know nothing about his wrestling nor his heart, but he just floats around like Wells. I’d definitely like to see more.

Eric Ellington vs Jacob Thrall – Bantamweight

Round 1

Ellington looks wild and fast. Thrall gets the takedown, works to a guillotine and locks it up. Thrall wins by submission.

It was a very dramatic ending as Ellington tried to slam thrall out of the guillotine, he tried to stand up, and he eventually had to tap. I actually think that Thrall has a high upside.

Alex McGowan vs Chuka Willis – Featherweight

Round 1

McGowan clinches and gets punished as he tries for the takedown. Willis takes over and looks more dominant in the exchanges

Round 2

Willis looks educated on the feet, but he gets taken down and beaten up on the floor.

Round 3

McGowan fighting defensively, gets taken down. Willis clinches and is just a little more aggressive. 🚩 Willis wins by split decision.

Both guys need a lot more work. Very early days for these two. The fight was also razor close

Thai Clark vs Josh Augustine – Featherweight

Round 1

Clark catches a kick and takes Augustine down. Thai Clark grinds on him and the stupid ref decides to stand them up. Clark looks fast on the counter

Round 2

Clark takes Augustine down and the ref stands them up

Round 3

Clark takes Augustine down and beats him up on the floor and the ref stands them up again. 🚩 Clark wins by unanimous decision.

Clark beat both Augustine and the referee in this fight. Augustine has no ground game, and I guess the referee’s job is to supplement his lack of ground game at LFA 76.

Tyler Ingram vs Corey Davis Welterweight

Round 1

They clinch, both are a little apprehensive and Davis rocks Ingram. They get gassed mid-round and look a little sluggish. Davis takes Ingram down, but Ingram reverses and they get back to their feet. They slug it out as the round ends.

Round 2

Ingram lands some elbows and kicks up close and takes Davis down. Ingram beats Davis down on the floor and submits him via RNC. Tyler Ingram wins by submission.

Ingram has great potential, he probably needs to work on his gas tank and his boxing.

LFA 76 is whatever…but the LFA itself is unbroken. AxsTV just doesn’t know
